
Balance Flier
Goals
Design a flexible visual identity and promotional materials for *Balance*, a new house music-focused event series in Baltimore, with visuals that reflect the series' spiritual and thematic tone.
Contributions
Collaborated with the organizers of Balance to develop flyer concepts for the launch events, held at The Crown and Royal Blue. Designed initial concepts inspired by the series' logo — which features day/night and landscape imagery — and created tarot card-inspired layouts with symmetrical linework and a central abstract, painterly dancing figure. Produced animated versions of the logo with rotating day/night elements to add visual interest for digital promotion. Also developed a simplified alternative flyer concept featuring a muted black and white version of the logo over a silhouetted, smoky dance floor photograph, with understated typography to match the series' aesthetic. Delivered final assets in multiple formats for use across event channels.
Outcomes
Helped establish the visual identity of the Balance event series through thoughtful, thematically aligned design work. Provided adaptable promotional assets that supported strong turnout and early success for the series. Strengthened creative relationships within the local house music and DJ community.
