Create a community-driven digital archive to document and celebrate the history of dance music in Baltimore City, with the potential to evolve into a published book.

Contributions

Conceptualized and built a flexible, wiki-style website to host stories, imagery, and historical information about Baltimore’s dance music culture. Conducted interviews with key figures to gather first-hand insights. Developed a lightweight site architecture using Node and Airtable, with content served via JSON to reduce templating complexity. Designed the platform to encourage community contributions of flyers, photos, event histories, and personal stories.

Outcomes

Launched an evolving resource for documenting Baltimore’s dance music legacy. Fostered early community engagement and collaboration. Established a scalable, low-maintenance platform for ongoing growth and potential future publication.
