Improve payment clarity and reduce chargebacks and disputes by introducing dynamic acknowledgements during checkout for various payment types.

Contributions

Developed a front-end acknowledgement system integrated into the e-commerce payment flow. Implemented required checkboxes and messaging for credit card transactions to notify customers that charges will appear under a parent company name. Extended the system with custom acknowledgements for ACH payments, credit checks, balance fees, and purchase orders. Designed the flow to conditionally enable checkout progression only after appropriate acknowledgements are given.

Outcomes

Reduced chargebacks and post-order disputes related to payment naming discrepancies. Improved legal clarity and customer understanding of payment terms. Enabled greater flexibility in supporting varied payment types while protecting company financial processes.
