Automate and standardize the flow of shipping data from diverse vendors back into the e-commerce platform to reduce manual work and improve customer-facing tracking updates.

Contributions

Developed a suite of APIs to process inconsistent shipping data from multiple fulfillment partners. Implemented workflows using MailParser to extract shipment details from email and feed them to custom API endpoints. Built logic for data validation, cleaning, and formatting across various shipment types (order-level, item-level). Integrated with OrderDesk to centralize shipping data and leverage its native sync with storefront systems. Additionally implemented direct API integrations for vendors providing compatible data formats.

Outcomes

Significantly reduced manual data entry and order tracking errors. Provided near real-time shipping status updates to customers, improving satisfaction and transparency. Established a scalable architecture for handling varied shipping data across multiple vendor relationships.
