Design a playful, self-aware flyer for *Will Bill Thrill*, a DJ event celebrating DJs named William, Billy, or Willie — using humor and 80s-inspired aesthetics to engage the audience and reflect the lighthearted tone of the night.

Contributions

Developed a flyer concept that leaned into the event’s humorous spirit while still delivering a strong, eye-catching design. Featured images of the DJs alongside famous Williams and Billies from pop culture, arranged in a warped, dynamic grid to create visual movement. Chose an 80s-inspired visual style to complement the set list and one DJ’s focus on 80s music — using aqua greens, purples, and an 80s thriller-style type treatment to evoke a retro Miami vibe. Added subtle textural elements to provide depth and polish to the design. Balanced the humor and professional quality of the flyer to engage both casual attendees and music fans.

Outcomes

Produced a fun, highly shareable flyer that helped drive strong event turnout and audience engagement. Successfully captured the tongue-in-cheek tone of the event while delivering a polished visual presentation.
